Praxis of the ancestral culture in Ecuadorian educational institutions
Abstract
This work was carried out with the objective of knowing how the practice of ancestral culture behaves in educational centers; for which a documentary research with a qualitative approach was developed, based on the methods: documentary, hermeneutic, historical-logical and analytical-synthetic review. The findings allow us to assert that in Ecuador there is a strong legal framework on which public educational policies of a marked intercultural nature are based, which support the strategies and projects of educational centers, aimed at the transmission and promotion of cultural values. Among the actions that are executed are: exhibitions, dances, open houses, study of outstanding indigenous figures, student research projects on ancestral cultures, visits to museums and heritage sites that reflect the customs of the original cultures; by developing in students critical, reflective and evaluative thinking that favors attitudes in favor of cultural diversity and social welfare.
