System of educational guidance activities for families to prevent overprotection in school children with intellectual disabilities

Abstract

The education received at home, even if it does not have the same character as the school is of great value in the process of education and consolidation of feelings, moral principles in each level of education and social orientation of the personality. This influence acquires greater relevance if it is about those who have children with a diagnosis of intellectual disability, which need a differentiated treatment according to their needs and potential. The objective of this article is to develop a system of family orientation activities to prevent overprotection in schoolchildren with intellectual disabilities from the family context.
