Use of verbal games to stimulate and develop language in five years old infants
Abstract
Games have evolved, which is why teachers today are putting verbal games aside. However, they are unaware of the importance of verbal games in the process of language development in children. Therefore, the present study focuses on analyzing the influence that verbal games have on language development in 5-year-old children, as well as the knowledge presented by teachers. For this purpose, an investigation with a quantitative approach was carried out, with a population of 52 teachers of the initial education level of the city of Quito. Teachers were given a validated questionnaire on the use of verbal games for language development. After analyzing the results, it was determined that teachers make use of verbal games to develop the language of 5-year-old children. However, children are in the middle of their participation and development.
