Investigative culture in apprentices of technological programs of an agricultural feature in Colombia
Abstract
The objective of the study is to analyze the characteristics of the investigative culture in apprentices of the agricultural technology programs of ten regional offices of the National Learning Service (SENA) in Colombia. In the cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach and descriptive scope, a questionnaire was applied to 346 apprentices who participated in research processes. The results correspond to the ranges: 0% - 40% (Poor); 41% - 60% (To be improved); 61% – 75% (Acceptable); 76% - 90% (Good); and 91% - 100% (Excellent). The evaluated dimensions of the research culture behaved as follows: performance of research actors (56.82%), research culture strategies (55.5%), and contextual research approach (58.6%). It is concluded that the investigative culture is in a situation to improve, although an optimistic perception is confirmed in building a contextualized investigative culture to agricultural technological education in Colombia, which is a dynamic nucleus.
