Strategies to develop critical thinking
Abstract
Education seeks to develop capacities of a high cognitive level, allowing the student to function with critical thinking in diverse contexts. Therefore, this study aims to explain what strategies contribute to developing critical thinking, leading to a literature review of scientific articles related to the subject, under a heuristic and hermeneutical methodology. The studies explored fluctuate between the years 2017 to 2021, the majority present quantitative than a qualitative approach, some have a mixed nature, not only triangulating data, events, and isolated interviews, but also triangulating the analysis and teacher reflection. As a result, it is inferred that with the application of various didactic strategies effective results are achieved to promote critical thinking, it also reflects the importance of continuing to research to find the integration of theoretical and practical elements that will enable the design of a range of strategies based on scientific references, systematized in theoretical frameworks that will guide the learning processes.
