Hybrid method to determine the identity symbols of the university heritage

Abstract

The issue of identity symbols is a necessity given by the improvement of training processes in the management of the education system. The objective is to base the hybrid method to determine the symbols of identity with patrimonial value from the perspective of the University of Oriente. For this, a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methodology was used with emphasis on hermeneutics; the application of content analysis techniques, semi-structured interviews, focus groups and observation. The result is the introduction of the hybrid method in the management of knowledge and information to determine the identity symbols that are part of the heritage of the organization. It is formed by the integrated analysis of various sciences that recognize characterize, classify and determine symbols with heritage value, using a correlation matrix. In conclusion, the hybrid method facilitates the recognition of the set of identity symbols of the organization in order to promote its safeguarding as cultural heritage.
