Importance of critical-reflective reading to promote critical thinking in basic education students
Abstract
The present study aims to analyze at a theoretical level the potentialities of critical-reflective reading in the development of critical thinking, with the purpose of reflecting on the relevance of this process with students of basic education. The documentary review was the main method used, interrelated with the synthesis analysis method and the inductive-deductive method, which allowed to systematize scientific evidence according to the objective of the study. The results indicate that critical thinking and critical-reflective reading have a strong positive relationship, however, this does not happen "per se" but rather needs to be planned and intended by teachers who should consider reading strategies that transcend literal levels. and inferential, towards a critical-reflective reading level.
