Sociopolitical, academic and extension characterization of 4th year medical students

Abstract

Was carried out a traverse descriptive study, with the objective of characterizing the students of the 4to year of the career of medicine ability 1 of Santiago from Cuba in the course 2019-2020, keeping in mind some academic variables, extensionist and sociopolitical that allow to design a group of tasks guided to the formation of a professional of the health. The studied population was 562, with 58% of the feminine sex, the Cuban students represent 69,4%, they are student’s assistants 22,1%, and they integrate the movement Mario Muñoz 8,4 % and 30,07% they militate in the Union of communist youths. Academically 4,6% has unfavorable academic antecedent and 26 promoted with haulages. They participate sport disciplines 18,7%, they belong to multidisciplinary classes or projects FEU 38,8%, they donate blood 26-7 %y they participate in the artistic brigade 7,8%.
